Hanoch Piven was born in Uruguay, raised in Israel, and educated at The School of Visual Arts in New York City. His work has appeared in publications worldwide including Time, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, The New Yorker, The Atlantic Monthly, Entertainment Weekly, and The New York Times. He was awarded a gold medal from the Society of Illustrators of New York for his illustration of Barbra Streisand and created the children's book The Perfect Purple Feather. He lives in Barcelona with his wife and two children.
