B.B. Knolls is the mother of a 4 year old and a 1 year old and has a PhD in Social Psychology. She hopes that the story helps children process their pandemic experiences and helps parents initiate a conversation about vaccines. "When a Shot Meant a Lot" is her first children's book. Ray Anne Shea (she/they) is a queer illustrator based in Brooklyn, NY. Her full-time profession is in graphic and web design for global health advocacy, focusing on issues such as gender equity, mental health and more recently COVID-19 initiatives. She received her Bachelor of Science from Emory University and completed her U.S. Peace Corps service in Botswana, Africa.
