Study it before you leave on safari, or just purchase it and take an armchair safari that will cost a lot less!"--DRK, Wildlife Activist "This book is clearly directed to tourist photographers, but may well be of interest to academic and public libraries."--Frederic F. Burchsted, American Reference Books Annual

Joy Al-Sofi on
Nice and compact, if heavy guide to many if not all of the wildlife of the region. Some are shown of only one sex when the animal is very different in the sexes and in the development at different stages. Several of the photos are less than maximally helpful as, for example, the bird is shown in flight but you are seeing it on the ground and vice versa. One picture is of a very mud covered bird making it impossible to see the actual feather colours. They do show a lot and that is very helpful.
