Reviews

Superb . . . this thriller underlines just how fine a writer Connolly has become - Daily MailContains Connolly's usual brilliance with plot, dialogue, setting, humour and writing that is at times poetic - Independent on Sunday[What] is so impressive [is] the fact that he's able to work poetic language into the thriller format . . . You may think at times you are reading a literary novel but then Connolly will remind you he's just as adept at the violent strategies of the thriller. Either way you will be left shaken by the experience. - Daily ExpressJohn Connolly never fails to please and with this latest in the long-running Charlie Parker he has delivered yet another superb thriller. With THE WOLF IN WINTER, he gives us a slice of the old world in the new world with one of the creepiest churches you will ever read about. - crimesquadTHE WOLF IN WINTER is a brilliant performance from one of our finest writers. - Irish TimesJohn Connolly goes from strength to strength and I for one cannot wait to read the next instalment. Dark, moody and gripping, THE WOLF IN WINTER is not to be missed. One more thing - that ending - Wow! - Milo s RamblesConnolly's writing is poetic, mystical - and almost impossible to put down - Woman & HomeConnolly's writing flows beautifully . . . part of the novel's effect is created by having some very dark, often violent, moments described in such poetic language - it adds to the unease . . . Connolly is back on top - if you've yet to discover him it's a good time to start. - Killing Time
