Brotherhood, faith, betrayal. These are the themes you'll grapple with as you take on the role of Jonathan North, and American sniper dropped illegally behind enemy lines during a civil war in Georgia. There's much more to contend with than that in this first-person shooter, though.
The core gameplay of Sniper: Ghost Warrior is still present and accounted for, of course. The action centres on stealth and planning, forcing you to sneak through enemy territory to make carefully calibrated shots that take into account distance and wind speed. Sure, running and gunning is an option, but more often than not it will get you killed.
This third installment in the series also offers a large open world with dynamic weather and a day and night cycle, however, making it a little like a grittier Far Cry 4. You won't have your hand held as you navigate this world, either. There are story-based missions to complete, certainly, but you might have to complete other missions and tasks to get what you need to complete them. Even then, there's no golden path to completion - just a set of tools and the imperitive to proceed how you see fit.
There's everything to play for in Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3.
