Tales of Graces F
If you’re a fan of Japanese role playing games, it’s more than likely that you’re a fan of Namco Bandai’s ‘Tales of’ franchise. The latest instalment in the series, Tales of Graces f, has become one of the most highly-anticipated games in the genre.
A PlayStation 3-exclusive update on the Wii original, Tales of Graces f brings high-definition fidelity to an already-beautiful anime-inspired world. With 40 hours of gameplay in the main quest alone, and more than 10 extra hours of story in the Lineage and Legacies epilogue, there’s more than enough content to satisfy the most discerning JRPG fan.
New dungeons, strange new monsters and original spells, attacks and techniques are the order of the day in here, to complement the fast-paced strategic nature of the battle system. Switch between fighting styles using the Style Shift - Linear Motion Battle feature and take advantage of Accelerate Mode to access brand new techniques that can deal some heavy damage.
The best part of Tales of Graces f is that your friends can join in the fun too. This is no solo JRPG - just connect an extra controller and your friends can participate in the battle as well. Up to four players can journey throughout this wonderful land together.
Tales of Symphonia: Chronicles
Tales of Symphonia: Chronicles dusts off two games previously seen on the GameCube and Wii and gives them a splash of HD paint. For the first time on the PS3, players can get at Tales of Symphonia and its sequel, Dawn of the New World.
How much are you willing to sacrifice for the chance to save your world? In the dying world of Sylvarant, legend has it that a Chosen One will one day appear from amongst the people and the land will be reborn. However, your home world is partner to an equal and opposite land that suffers at the expense of your home world's prosperity. Is there's a way to save to both worlds, or will both be committed to an eternity of misery?
Though strictly a 3D game, Tales of Symphonia employs cel-shaded techniques throughout. It's a real piece of eye-candy, making the land of Sylvarant and its mirror world a pleasure to roam. And this visual impression is also carried into Symphonia's frequent and taxing enemy encounters.
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World continues the story of the best-selling original and adds in a whole wealth of new features and gameplay that will make this new adventure a rewarding experience.
In Dawn of the New World you join young heroes Emil Catagnier and Marta Lualdi as they try to discover the cause of all the changes that is happening in their world. They're not alone in their quest however - fan favourites from the Tales series such as Lloyd, Colette and Sheena will also enter the fray and you'll also meet the lord of all monsters in the land, Ratatosk.
It is after being given special monster taming powers from Ratatosk that the unique gameplay angle in Dawn of the New World rears its head. Over 200 unique monsters can be captured during battle, and you can nurture and feed these creatures until they evolve into powerful forms. With your fearsome evolved monsters, you can bring them into future battles to give you a boost whenever you need it.
