For the second time in four years Wayne Carey and Denis Pagan held that great AFL Premiership Cup aloft.
It was the year of the Kangaroos. A year in which they fought back memories of last year's horror loss to Adelaide, overcame a slow start to string together streaks of 10 and 8 wins... the last culminating in the Grand Final victory.
In their bid to become a more nationally focussed team, the side we knew as North Melbourne became the Kangaroos and played four home games in Sydney, winning them all.
This is the fourth AFL Premiership for the Kangaroos. Each has been special. The first in 1975, the replay in 1977, The Centenary Cup in 1996 and now the last of the Millenium.
This is a Region 4 disc, the local region for Australia.
