Steven Speilberg presents an irresistable comic fantasy that accelerates beyond the time barrier with wit, imagination and infectious, wide-eyed wonder. Michael J. Fox stars as Marty McFly, a typical teenager of the 80's accidently sent back to 1955 in a plutonium-powered DeLorean "time machine" invented by mad scientist Christopher Lloyd. During his hysterical, amazing trip back in time, Marty must make sure his teenage parents to be, Crispin Glover and Lea Thompson meet and fall in love - so he can get back into the future.

Come on it’s a classic and there’s no argument about that! An 80’s movie for sure, can’t sue them for that and it has all the classic one liners – I mean this is one of the movies responsible for the one liners in the first place so give em some cred! Very enjoyable!

This movie is stupid. The only thing worse is Back to the Future 2. Supposedly this movie was designed to provide nostalgia to parents about the 1950's and 60's whilst entertaining the kids with stupidity. I suspect it will fail on both counts. The plot is idiotic and boring and the characters are annoying. You will be relieved when it is over. If you travelled back in time, surely you would really try and do something useful, like win the lottery, buy stocks or prevent disasters! Instead the stupid main character just messes up his teenage parents' relationship.

Back to the Future is a great movie. The notion of time travelling car and a guitar amplifier the size of a large toilet cubicle is ridiculous but when you watch the movie, you don't care! The logic in the movie is ludicrous so if you take yourself seriously don't watch it, but if you have a sense of humour and you don't have to believe what you see, you're going to love Back to the Future.

A classic film to come from the 80's, Back to the Future is the first part of a three part series, and is vital to be seen before the others. Young Marty, who helps out his older scientist friend, ends up back in the 50's when he takes off in his time travel machine. He meets up with the Doc, and as a consequence of time travelling, accidentally meets his mother and disrupts the history of her meeting his father, endangering his existence. With a few days before his only chance to get back to 1985 is here, he must convince his mother to date his father, and put things back into place. Great at keeping the suspense going, with action that is child friendly, Back to the Future has to be seen.

This is just a classic that will never grow old. I enjoyed seeing some of the eighties, as well as the fifties, and Michael J. Fox is just such a brilliant actor. The story features around Marty, a teenager in the eighties who is accidentally sent back to 1955 in a time machine invented by "Doc", a brilliant scientist. Once in the past, Marty must make certain that his teenage parents meet at the prom and fall in love, otherwise he and his siblings will disappear as if they never existed. There's only one problem: it looks like the teenage version of his mum might be falling in love with Marty himself!

What can I say - I love the movie back to the future from 1985. Firstly, Michael J Fox is sooo young in this movie and he is a great actor. The story is absolutely ridiculous but I think thats why it makes such a good movie. I really enjoyed this and it is a movie that can be enjoyed by both young and old alike

Back To The Future (1985) is my all time favourite movie. It's a thoroughly feel good film, accessible to all ages and enjoyable from the 1st to the 45th time of watching and never fails to bring a smile. Humour for all ages and a kick-ass car to boot, what more could a young kid want? Or those young at heart?

From Marty's "Johnny B Goode" to Doc's classic "Run For It Marty!" You'll find that even though you know what's coming next, you'll still laugh. It is the ultimate feel good movie, the weed overcomes the bully, the dreamers wishes come true and all because a nosey old bird thrusts for a nickel "Save The Clock Tower!"

It's popularity spawned 2 sequels and although it got decreasingly good in terms of quality as a film, Back To The Future remains the best film in my repetoire and a safe bet when you need to feel good.

em yeah a classic eighties movie and blah blah blah. special effects are good and parts of it are very funny and blah blah blah. To tell you the truth im very sick of this movie mainly because of the cult status this movie has. yes i enjoyed it the first time around but after three watches it becomes really stale, see it if you havent already seen it.

This is a fantastic film and the first installment in a brilliant trilogy. Starring Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly who along with Doc ( Christopher Lloyd) as they travel back in time to the 1950s when his parents were having their school prom. A truly classic film I would be suprised to find anybody who didn't love it.
