The day they moved in... Beverly Hills moved out...The ultimate culture clash makes for a truly hilarious rags-to-riches story when the Clampett family strikes oil in the swamp behind their Ozark mountain shack. Inspired to relocate to Beverly Hills, the innocent, hard-working family is perfect bait for the swindlers, social climbers and gold diggers who await them.

Based on the TV show, those who grew up watching The Beverly Hillbillies won't want to see this - as all the humour has been replaced by gross out gags and lame jokes to an attempt to appeal to the kids of that age. It may have worked, but it sure doesn't stand up to the original idea and show.

Take a very popular TV show and throw in all the toilet humour and unfunny redneck hillbilly jokes you can think of... forget the focus on family over finances etc, and just mock country folk... this film was a massive disappointment... there are some nice cameos (e.g. Dolly Parton and Zsa Zsa Gabor), but on the whole, the film is a shocker (save Lily tomlin, who's always great)...

Old or young (well, relatively so!) we all remember the Beverly Hillbillie Clampetts! This takes the tv series to the big screen in a surprisingly good re-make. The Clampetts may be country folk but they prove in this movie that they aren't as backward as they sometimes act! It's funny, it's timeless.

This is a really really really funny movie. I loved every minute of it. The comedy is with you the whole way through the movie from the very start to the very end. A great watch for the whole family. Five out of five stars in my opinion.
