The people of Lawndale just do not get Daria Morgendorffer. She is cool with that. See, Daria was born alienated and now she is just trying to make it through high school with as little human contact as possible. Popularity, friends, activities...whatever. Daria lacks enthusiasm, but she makes up for it with sarcasm.
IS IT FALL YET?: Darla spends the summer working at Mr O'Neill's day camp for sensitive kids, whilst dealing with the dilemma that is her new relationship with Tom, her closest friend's ex-boyfriend. Meanwhile Jane goes to an artists' retreat to try to get over their betrayal, but becomes disillusioned by the pretentious attitudes of other attendees. And Quinn works with a tutor to improve her grades so she can stand a chance of getting into her favourite 'party college'. Some of Dana's classmates are experiencing crazy summer moments of their own too. After a summer like this, they might all be looking forward to the new school term... as if!
This movie links seasons 4 and 5 of the TV show.
IS IT COLLEGE YET?: With graduation fast approaching, Darla and her classmates are forced to look beyond high school and on to college. Darla finds that getting into her preferred college could be about more than what you know, which serves to aggravate her deteriorating relationship with Tom. Jane, meanwhile, becomes disillusioned when her applications are rejected, and contemplates skipping college altogether. And Quinn, forced by Helen and Jake to get a summer job, meets a new friend whom she discovers has a few demons hidden beneath her friendly exterior. It's time for higher learning, lowered expectations and a heavy dose of sarcasm in the feature length series finale.
