Jonathon on
Brillaint movie that mixes drama with comedy as a policewoman tries to track down the muderers of three people. William H Macy is brilliant as a car salesman who find himself in deep water when he hires to criminals to kidnap his wife, promising to split the ransom money with them 50/50. But when they end up killing three people and demanding more money, he struggles to keep his cool when police start sniffing around.

The Coen Brothers are well known for bringing twisted, warped and unreal ideas to life on the big screen and Fargo is another one of them here. Macy plays the desperate salesman quite well, and the storyline is well done and has the dark twist that the Coen Brothers are famous for. Not a bad movie
Caroline on
A Coen brothers classic here. At this cheap price you can't go wrong.
A delicious black comedy set in the tiny town of Fargo, Minnesota (I think???) funny accents and dead pan humour (mind the pun) make this movie a gem.
After this movie you will more than likely think you yourself have been in Fargo and will swing a line or two in the twang.
If you like your comedy a little dark and offbeat then this is a movie for you. If you haven't seen it, at this price it is worth the purchase.
Tessa on
Brilliantly warped movie from the Coen brother's about a henpecked car salesman who hires two dodgy suspects to kidnap his wife. Things do not go well at all and a heavily preganat cop is soon, seriously on the case. The cartoonish characters and the generally droll deadpan tone offset the outrageous absurdities in the strangely insightful story.
