A typical day on the slopes turns into a chilling nightmare for three snowboarders (Kevin Zegers, Shawn Ashmore, and Emma Bell) when they get stranded on the chairlift before their last run. As the ski patrol switches off the night lights, they realize with growing panic that they've been left behind dangling high off the ground with no way down. With the resort closed until the following weekend and frostbite and hypothermia already setting in, the trio is forced to take desperate measures to escape off the mountain before they freeze to death. Once they make their move, they discover with horror that they have much more to fear than just the frigid cold. As they combat unexpected obstacles, they start to question if their will to survive is strong enough to overcome the worst ways to die.

I so loved this movie. It starts off pretty slow with three skiers taking it easy and trying to get on the ski lifts for free. But boy was I shocked how the movie unfolded. Seriously, there were at least two scenes in that movie which made me cringe and definitely put me off skiing for now. What I liked very much about this movie was the "No-Fuss" style of filming. Not over the top graphics or unreal stages of gore. The fact that this could actually or might happen to someone makes this movie a bit unnerving at times but I guess that is what the director must have aimed for and did a good job out of it.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Found it to be gripping (even felt the cold at one stage :-). Viewing was ongoing because you could not work out what
was going to happen. I too was on a chairlift by myself in the 1960's
when the chairlift stopped and bobbed up and down. Looking down was fatal
for me - it was soooooo far away!! My husband, who was in the chairlift behind me with our two year old son, was just about falling out of the chair cruelly laughing at my obvious and total panic!!
A great film.
