Triple bill of comedies starring Jim Carrey. In 'Yes Man' (2008), an adaptation of the memoir by Danny Wallace, Carl Allen (Carrey) signs up for a self-help programme that challenges him to spend a year saying 'yes' to every question or proposal that comes his way. This simple pretext soon results in Carl's life taking off in all kinds of weird and wonderful directions, including such disparate and arguably pointless activities as bungee jumping, chain-drinking Red Bull and learning Korean. In 'Dumb and Dumber' (1994) Lloyd Christmas (Carrey) and Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) are a pair of hapless losers on the road, attempting to find the beautiful owner of a mislaid briefcase. Unbeknownst to them, the case contains ransom money for the woman's husband, and they find themselves pursued by his thuggish kidnappers, whilst stumbling across a series of oddballs along the way. In 'Ace Ventura: Pet Detective' (1994) eccentric pet investigator Ace (Carrey) is hired by the beautiful Melissa (Courteney Cox), board member of the Miami Dolphins, to discover the whereabouts of the team's missing mascot, a dolphin called Snowflake. With only a week to go before the Superbowl, Ace's investigations lead him to suspect a transsexual ex-Dolphins player of kidnapping the fish.
