While monsters in the closet may seem to be a scary reality for some children, `Monsters, Inc.' makes it light hearted by showing them it's all in a night's work. The characters are as charming as the cast that speaks for them.

It's a learning experience children get to see how an industry works. Monsters, Inc. is an in-genius corporation that has scientifically learned how to channel children's screams into energy that is used for electrical power. It has monster employees, an assembly line of doors (which give monsters access to children's bedrooms), a top-flight training program and some of the top Monsters in the scaring business.

There's a colorful Metropolis, filled with houses, buildings, businesses, cars and everything that makes a city run smoothly along with a population of colorful creatures. One of the colorful groups of creatures is the yellow swat team. Their job is to protect the Metropolis of Monsters, Inc. from human contamination.

But what happens when a human child mysteriously gets through the bedroom door and terrorizes the city with screams and boo's. It's wondrous and funny. In the mist of all this is industrial crime, brought on by greed. But, the story ends on a very happy note.

John Goodman is the voice of `Sulley' a colorful large blue-green ape like monster who's the star Monsters, Inc. employee. He's some type of monster, cut, cuddly, and he has a conscience that leads him to feelings of regret about scarring children. He becomes attached to Boo (voice of Mary Gibbs) a cute, little big-eyed girl who is mysteriously brought to Monsters, Inc. and in his quest to return her home becomes very attached to her.

Sulley's best friend is Mike (voice of Billy Crystal) who's a funny looking green ball with stick legs and one huge eye. His comedy is seen through out the movie. Mike is Sulley's driving force, acting as his agent. Mike's job is to make sure Sulley remains the top Monsters, Inc. employee. But when it comes to laughter Mike proves he's on top.

Mike's girl friend Celia (voice of Jennifer Tilley) is the stylish employee who has Mike's best interest at heart. Her job is to keep him out of trouble.

I give Monsters, Inc. a ten. It is an animated movie that can be enjoyed by the whole family. It makes for great family fun.

I love watching this movie. Although it is for children I still like it. This is a great movie for children and if your like me, still children at heart.
This is a movie about monsters who open doors at their factory which lead into childrens bedrooms. They scare the children and collect their screams which are used to power the city where they live.
But oneday something goes wrong and a human child escapes into the moster world.
I thin kmost children will enjoy watching this movie

This movie is hilarious. I have never laughed so much ever. It has great acting, affects, dialogue, and especially superb humour – everything you need in a great movie. The movie does have a few scenes that drag out but all in all it’s a must have for all comedy fans and is suitable for basically all ages. It’s a must have, so buy it – You will definitely won’t be disappointed. Excellent - JUST BUY IT

Monsters INC is my absolute favourite. The way they make something that would normally scare any normal child and put it in film so that is actually funny is just awesome.
Two monsters just going about their normal day is funny enough but to have a human child disrupt their lives is even funnier.
Boo is suppose to be the deadliest creature to ever step foot in the monster world. So to see the top scarer run from the wee girl is wicked.
Then realising that she isnt as harmful as she is made out to be Sully befriends her and takes her under his wing.(Much to Mikes disgust). After that it is a mission in itself to get Boo back to her door.
Awesome movie that can be watched again and again.

This is an absolutly one of the best pixar films that you will see, and the thing is that it's a great film for the family. The timing of the jokes is just out of this world. the mix of adult and child humor is done is such a way that it makes for compelling viewing. The whole spray in the eye joke is really funny. Love it 100%.

"Mosters Inc." has to be one of the most original movies to come out in recent years. A bunch of monsters, who are scared of kids, trying to frighten kids so they can turn screams into energy. Then two of them cause chaos when they find a kid who came back through another door with them while they were investigating some alledged cheating.

As usual for Pixar, the animation is great and the story line flows fairly well. The kids will be amazed with the characters and the weirdness of it all. There is also enough humour for the adults to keep us entertained as well. Mike's quip, ("I am so romantic I should just marry myself"), is a real classic.

This is a great movie: fun, light-hearted and entertaining. All things a good animation should be.

A gorgeous movie which, for once, does not rely on songs to further the plot! All the good characters are sufficiently lovable and the baddies hatable! Boo is great - a really believable 3 year old and the movie is entirely entertaining. Strongly recommend and have your tissues ready for the ending!
