I've long been a great fan of the art of J.M.W. Turner, the eccentric English artist who has been described as the 'Father of the Impressionist Movement'. So every time I go back to England a visit to the Tate Gallery is a 'must', with so many of his best paintings displayed there. He certainly was a strange sort of guy, having a mother who'd got committed to the notorious Bedlam Mental Hospital. Yet genius is often closely connected to madness, so anybody watching this movie should take that on board. Moving on, I enjoyed the movie greatly, because it didn't try and conceal the obvious flaws in Turner's persona - he was just one weird but super-talented sort of guy! For the price Fishpond are asking for this Blu-Ray 2014 DVD movie, it's well worth buying either to watch or as a present for an art-loving friend with Christmas getting close.
