Episode 21: The Goodbye Girl
Anna is leaving. Theresa is staying. Seth thinks he's the reason for Anna's planned return to Pittsburgh. And Ryan knows he's why Theresa is staying. But what is either guy going to do about it? Caleb is Riviera's Man of the Year (uh-oh).

Episode 22: The L.A.
Operation Protect Marissa! Seth and Ryan plan to keep Marissa from finding out about her mom's affair. It also becomes Operation Rescue Hailey when they inadvertently attend a Hollywood party where she's a stripper.

Episode 23: The Nana
OPM didn't work. Marissa knows about Julie/Luke and vanishes. Ryan finds her at Theresa's engagement party, where he's not a welcome guest. Meanwhile, cranky, opinionated, California loathing Nana Cohen arrives at Newport and she's strangely?nice.

Episode 24: The Proposal
Engagement announcements are joyful news, right? Not when it means the one person Kirsten despises will become her stepmom. And not when Marissa will have a new family arrangement she doesn't want.

  • Synopsis

When Ryan Atwood, a tough, guarded, fiercely intelligent 16-year-old plunges headlong into the wealthy, privileged community of Newport Beach, he soon discovers that the ruling families of Orange County are every bit as territorial as the tough crowd with which he ran on the streets of Chino. For Sandy Cohen, the idealistic public defender who takes Ryan in; his wife Kirsten, the linchpin of O.C. society; their awkward adolescent son, Seth; and the beautiful troubled girl next door, Marissa Copper, Ryan's presence will forever change their lives.

Definitely one of the best TV series out there!! Loved this season especially. The actors are just great and so natural. Also the sorry line never gets boring there is always something going on such as romance, action or partying. Would highly recommend this to teenagers and young adults. I have relatched this many times and haven’t got sick of it yet!!

The OC season 1, the start of the OC series, is a great season like all the others. Ryan Atwood, was introduced into a rich wealthy family, and experiences the teenage dramas of California. Seth Cohen, the son of the wealthy family, becomes extremely good friends with Ryan, they both go through all sorts of problems.

The OC will be one of those classic tv dramas - great to watch now, just as great for viewers to watch ten years from now. The show revolves around the lives, loves, drama's of some of the residents of Orange County - some are rich, some are not but no matter what they all have problems and could use the friendships they find. A wondrefully written piece of drama with good acting and plotlines. Suitable viewing for teens onwards.

The first season of the O.C! One of THE best shows out there. Follows the life of poor, stubborn, bad boy Ryan Atwood from the wrong side of the tracks. When Sandy Cohen arrives to help defend him, he takes Ryan back to his home in Newport Beach; home of the rich, the beautiful, the waterpolo players and Seth Cohen. Coming from one of the richest and most influential families in the area; Seth is a social outcast who is madly in love with Summer Roberts. Will the combination of Ryan's bab boy charm and Seth's geekiness be a winning one? Will Seth win the affections of Summer and does Ryan get Marissa?

    wacht it very good.

I absolutely love the concept of the OC. The gated comunity of Orange County, rich kids and the poor kid who is taken in by an over caring lawyer. I really like the casting of this show, Mischa Barton plays the angst ridden teen well, Adam Brody the brooding teen, Benjamin MacKenzie the kid from the wrong side of town and Rachel Bilson, the preppy one. The storylines are dramatic and keep you coming back for more. The lifestyles of the rich and famous have never been so intriguing...
    Melissa on
You have the 'bad' boy, you have the 'dork', you have the pampered princesses - it's a formula for great easy entertainment.
Explores the lives and loves of these teens ~ Ryan is actually not a 'bad' boy but a boy that hasn't had many breaks, he has a heart of gold. Marissa is extremely mixed up, proving that being rich doesn't mean you have a fabulous life. Seth and Summer - the dork and the princess - are an unlikely couple at the same time as being perfect for each other. You also get to explore the lives of Seth's parents, Sandy and Kristen. Highly recommended viewing!

The first season of the OC introduced us to the lovable seth, outsider ryan and the girls summer and marrissa. While the show can be a little soapy and melodramatic at times it is still great fun to watch if you don't take it to seriously. Its also nice that the parents get some interesting roles to play and are not simply background set dressing like in so many teen shows.

this is a gret dramatic series for todays teenage generation to watch and love. it is loved by myself and many of my friends. this programme is so successful and it has reason to be. the characters are likeable, the storylines are gripping and the setting is amazing. this show rocks!
    Jess on
I personally love The OC. Drama about poor little rich kids living in an exclusive and snobbish some would say area in America, Orange County. Follows a few families lives and obstacles and is quite interesting to watch. There is so much corruption and betrayal between families, great tv drama
