A parody pastiche of Hollywoods finest films, this musical comedy puts a pop music spin on Gilbert and Sullivans The Pirates of Penzance. When plain, shy Mabel falls for handsome Chris, it seems a hopeless fantasy. Her friends are so much more glamorous than she. But on her way to meet them, her boat capsizes and as she slips out of consciousness, her dream of tender romance and high adventure begins... Mabel envisions a colorful pirate crew with a dashing young apprentice named Frederic (Chris), who leaves the ship to set out on his own. Arriving at a secluded cove, he spots Mabel. They fall instantly and deeply in love. Alas, there are many battles to be fought before their romance can truly blossom. And as swords and hearts clash, Frederic and Mabels beautiful romance begins to shift from dream to reality
