2007 Academy Award nominated Will Smith (Hitch, Independance Day, Men in Black) stars alongside his real-life son in The Pursuit of Happyness. It is the rousing true-life story of a single dad who went from living on the streets to working on Wall Street in order to provide a better life for his family.A heart-warming and at times gut-wrenching story of family, persistence and the importance of dreams, Smith's character proves that the phrase 'never give up' is true. Co-starring Thandie Newton (Crash, Mission Impossible 2) and introducing Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith's seven year old son Jaden Christopher Syre Smith, The Pursuit of Happyness is an inspiring story that will ring true with anyone who has ever been forced to face adversity head on.Direct from its successful release at the Australian box office and nominated for two Golden Globes The Pursuit of Happyness is a must-see DVD for those who have ever had the courage to follow their dreams and is a feel good family drama in the tradition of Forrest Gump and Life as a House.

This disc is in Blu-ray format and requires a Blu-ray player to be viewed. Check your player is compatible before purchasing.

Now, with the love and trust of his son and with newly imbued self confidence, Chris must rise above his obstacles to build a new future for himself and his son. Inspirational, heart warming and poignant, THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS is an stoundingly powerful rags to riches tale (Phil Villarreal, Arizona Daily Star) that will stay with you long after the credits roll.

This movie when it was released was surrounded by raving reviews and a lot of hype. I was so excited to watch the movie as i thought i was going to be inspired, but to be honest i was just bored and sleepy after watching it. I thought the movie dragged on a lot and was not at all interesting. I thought Will was boring and i found the whole movie depressing and slow. I thought jaden smith shouldn't have been casted as the son in the movie. I'm sorry but hes just not cute enough for the role.
