Jeff Chandler stars in this 1950s drama directed by Douglas Sirk. When Marcian (Chandler), a centurion of the Roman Empire, is captured by Attila the Hun (Jack Palance), Attila's plan to conquer the Empire's bases in Rome and Constantinople become clear. As Marcian does all he can to warn the Emperor Theodosius (George Dolenz) of the potential attack, he discovers that Theodosius has made a deal with Attila to spare his Constantinople and attack Rome together. The cast also includes Rita Gam and Ludmilla Tcherina.
