Two different jazz groups perform five Christmas songs apiece on this CD, alternating from tune to tune. The Bruno Hubert Trio/B3 Kings re-harmonize the numbers that they interpret, making "Jingle Bells" almost unrecognizable but swinging well on the other songs, with some fine alto playing from Cory Weeds. Denzal Sinclaire sings effectively on "We Three Kings" and with the Bruno Hubert trio on "Little Drummer Boy." The Hubert trio is in top form on their five numbers, playing melodically and with lyricism. Their version of "I Saw Momma Kissing Santa Claus" is a swinging high point of this pleasing Xmas jazz set. ~ Scott Yanow
