Easily one of the busiest years in Mark Kozelek's musical career, 2008 found the revered indie-folk singer-songwriter releasing APRIL under the Sun Kil Moon moniker to considerable acclaim. As if that wasn't enough, Kozelek issued this collection late in the year, largely as a way to find a home for stray cover tunes. Highlights of THE FINALLY LP include a wonderfully subdued version of Stephen Sondheim's "Send in the Clowns," a gentle acoustic rendition of Low's haunting "Lazy," and "Bedtime Lullaby," a short, sweet tune that Kozelek contributed to the children's program YO GABBA GABBA!
