Professional Reviews
Spin (p.125) - 3 stars out of 5 -- "Nonchalance is the rule...but don't be fooled by Sam Genders' languid vocals or the delicate riffs of Mike Lindsay....Uneasy thoughts lurk within the soothing notes."

Uncut (p.98) - 4 stars out of 5 -- "[T]heir oddness is beguiling -- nowhere more so than on 'Secrets', where the lyrics stitch together pine trees, pelican tears and Jeremy Kyle."

Magnet (p.108) - "[G]uitars, dulcimers and harps are woven into a thatchwork of electronic blips, digital crackles and looped samples lifted from old TV shows."

Dirty Linen (p.87) - "The songs feature gentle melodies, acoustic guitars, and strong male and female vocals....Refreshingly different."

Carl Dixon on
UK experimental folk act Tunng have been challenging notions of quantity and quality from some time now. Three albums in three years have caught the collective plenty of appreciative ears, but their music still lacks the necessary hooks to really get tongues wagging. Good Arrows is their best effort yet and is full of delicate acoustica and misty-eyed melancholy, with the necessary electronic influence to earn the ‘experimental’ title. This is little more than efficient, but Tunng still show potential for greatness.
