Hans Zimmer is a very prolific composer of movie scores, and many of them are mix-and-match efforts, merely sounding like all the other movie soundtracks out there. But Zimmer has always produced some of his best work for director Christopher Nolan. His work on the Batman trilogy and Inception is exceptional. His score for Interstellar is no exception to this trend. This is a truly epic score that incorporates the personal, heartrending stories in the film. And the use of a church organ is inspired.
