Unlike most other prog-rock outfits of the mid-'70s, Journey was penning songs that could be both complex and accessible to pop/rock fans. The quartet's second release, 1976's LOOK INTO THE FUTURE, was for the most part a continuation of its debut release a year earlier, but had more of a mainstream rock edge. With each successive release, Journey was inching closer and closer to its best known arena-rock style of the late-'70s/early-'80s.
