Although it starts conventionally, it veers into different territory by track five, with a contemporary countrified take of "The First Noel." The following tracks include a modern pop version of "Do You Hear What I Hear," the soulfully stark "The Light of the World" as performed by the excellent Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, and a musing folk version of "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear."
