This is a fast moving, easy to learn game that doesn't take long at all to play.
The board is quite compact and the camels are quite cute and the camel stacking mechanism simple but charming. The games features a dice rolling mechanism that uses an inverted pyramid made from the same material as the game board. As an adult I find it a bit cumbersome but the kids loved it.
The rules are very simple and by the time we had played twice through we felt comfortable with the rules. We played with three players but felt it would be more fun with more. The rounds go quite quick so it is a great addition to the game night where you can fit in a couple of different games in a couple of hours.
The betting mechanism is quite fun and it is a laugh to see players hopes dashed when there is a sudden change in the lead camel.
I am not a bug spender on board games so I was please to pick this up when it went on special. Normal price is $50 which seems about market price for this type of board game. It is a lot of fun and quite replayable so it is probably worth this but if you get a chance to pick it up on discount then I definitely recommend you grab it. What's not to like about camel races eh?
