CollectA's replica of Corythosaurus is lifelike and detailed, down to the ridges in its unusual crest. This duck-billed dinosaur lived about 77 - 76.5 million years ago. Its name means "helmet lizard" and comes from the crest on its head. A nearly complete fossil of the Corythosaurus--including fossilised skin--was found in Alberta, Canada in 1912. That specimen was lost in 1916 when a ship carrying it to Britain was attacked and sunk by a German surface raider. Other remains have been found since then, including over 20 skulls. This beautifully sculpted, collectible figure of Corythosaurus from our Prehistoric Life Collection measures 14cm L x 8.9cm H. Each prehistoric figure in our collection has been approved by archaeologist Anthony Beeson, a well-respected expert in paleoimagery.
