In conjunction with the bicentennial celebration of Lewis and Clark's exploration of the lands of the Louisiana Purchase, Manitou Figures released the Charbonneau figure, plus figures of others from the expedition. Production was said to be limited to 1000for each of five figures in the series. "Touissant Charbonneau was a successful trader living in the Mandan villages on the banks of the Missouri River in 1803. He had two wives, Sacagawea and Otter Woman. He was hired by Lewis and Clark in November to interpret for the Corps of Discovery. ..."
