Jesse Boleyn is an American songwriter, recording artist, record producer, and author writing under the penname J.R. Boleyn. Jesse was born in 1951 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, the eldest son of a U.S. Army Lt. Colonel. His early years were spent like most military brats, growing up in foreign countries, primarily Japan and Germany. Upon graduating from High School in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1969, he briefly attended Florida State University. In 1970 Boleyn volunteered for the U.S. Army Special Forces and became a paratrooper and member of the elite Green Berets in 1971. Multiple collaborations across four decades with former David Bowie and Lou Reed guitarist, and 6 time Emmy nominated film composer, Chuck Hammer, has produced an impressive body of work with over 100 songs published in his catalogue. Boleyn has released only three commercial albums, "Foreign Soil," No Gravity," and "Grace of Chaos" in 2015. Author of the novel "Far Way to Even" published in 2006, he has also penned the sequel titled "Golfer's Perfect Guide to Imperfection." and the novel "The Last Creator," an international suspense thriller, both due for publication December, 2017.
