Lionel March and Judith Sheine were joint curators of the year-long Schindlerfest' at the University of California, Los Angeles, celebrating the centennial of the architect's birth in 1887. RM Schindler, Composition and Construction develops and expands upon materials first presented during this event by leading Schindler scholars. Lionel March is Professor of Architecture at UCLA. He read Mathematics and Architecture at Cambridge University. He co-authored The Geometry of Environment, edited The Architectural Form, and co-edited Urban Space and Structures. He is founder editor of the international research journal, Planning and Design. Judith Sheine is an architect who practises in Los Angeles and teaches at UCLA and CalPoly, Pomona, and is the recipient of various awards in housing design. She studied Mathematics at Brown University and Architecture at Princeton. Her primary interests are in community-based design and the overlap of design and technology.
