About the Author

ANSON SHUPE is Professor of Sociology at the joint campus of Indiana University and Purdue University, Fort Wayne. He has authored or edited 23 books, including The Violent Couple (Praeger, 1994) and In the Name of All That's Holy (Praeger, 1995).

BRONISLAW MISZTAL is Professor of Sociology at the Catholic University of America. He has authored or edited several volumes, both in English and in Polish, including Religion and Politics in Comparative Perspective (Praeger, 1992).
