Cute book with an important message. "Anger should not hurt
others."Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2012 Anger is
Okay Violence is Not would be a great help in starting
conversations about: * what makes your children mad* acceptable
ways to deal with anger in your home* righteous verses unrighteous
anger* forgiveness* how keeping anger hurts you - often more than
the other person.Donate one to your library and preschools in your
area.
5.0 out of 5 starsTiny, well illustrated, important DV
book!Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2020Someone
complained about the length of this book, but I think it is just
perfect for a small child, and although I am reading it in Kindle,
I am going to buy one for my office lobby - and if it gets taken by
a needy child then I will get another!) Thank you and please write
on another important child's topic because you have a knack for
this.

Violence is Not and Some Parts are Not for Sharing. By: Julie
Federico. Both of these books teach children two very valuable
lessons! One is about how to safely handle domestic violence and
the other is about basic body safety rules. I feel that it's so
important to teach my son about these topics even at a young age.
Both of these books should be available in every classroom around
the country. The pictures are colorful, and the message is conveyed
in a warm manner. Jacob gives both of these books two baby thumbs
up.

Short story and straight to the point. Perfect resourceReviewed in
the United Kingdom on April 24, 2021Even though this was written by
American writers and the language seems different from what I may
use, it's still a great resource for parents, social workers, and
those who work with children. The pictures are eye-catching, and
the sentences are short and to the point which is sometimes just
what's needed. I'd highly recommend it.

a great read to use with younger children, Easy to read, in
simplistic language with illustrations that will appeal to younger
children on a difficult, but emotive subject.
Great for small children and very relatable! This is a perfect book
for small children who have witnessed domestic violence or struggle
with angry/aggressive behaviors. I am a children's therapist and I
always find that children would rather read a story about an animal
rather than a human any day! The book is small and the
illustrations are vibrant. Overall, a great book!
Verified PurchaseI am a Reading teacher that often teaches
preschoolers Social Emotional Learning. I use this book as a simple
and effective way to help children manage their angry moments. The
book is engaging, attractive, and spoken in a language that
children enjoy. I will be using this with all of my reading classes
because this book helps children to understand their anger and use
effective ways to control as well as express it.
