About the Author

Judah Passow was born in Israel and grew up in America. His photographs have been published by all the leading European and American newspapers and magazines. A winner of four World Press Photo awards for his coverage of the conflict in the Middle East, Passow's work has been widely exhibited. His CD-ROM, Days of Rage, based on his work in Beirut from 1982 - 1985 received wide critical acclaim, and Shattered Dreams was nominated for the 2008 Deutsche Bourse photography prize. He is a frequent lecturer on photojournalism at British universities.
