Earlier, he was Director, Centre for Agriculture and Rural Development Studies, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. His major fields of specialisation are: technology and impact evaluation, agriculture and rural development, international economics, research investment economics, natural resource and environmental economics. K.R. Ashok, Professor (Agricultural Economics), Department of Agri-cultural Economics, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, has 25 years of experience in teaching/research/extension. His area of specialisation are: natural resource and environmental economics, agricultural development, climate change economics, and development evaluation.
