Sara Rosa is full of plans to expand the family vineyard, and is working with fiance Brian to buy the adjoining farm from owner Nick Di Cenzo and his nephew Tony. But unknown to Sara and Tony, the two families are already linked - Nick and Sara's mother Alicia have a passionate history centred on an engagement ring and proposal that went astray in the mail 50 years earlier. The reappearance of the ring reignites their animosity and, with the property deal about to go off the rails, Tony and Sara join forces to try and end the feud. But the passion has moved to a new generation - and Sara's careful plans for her life are thrown into turmoil by her fierce attraction to Tony.
