A fair amount of Lovecraft is offered in this volume, which includes annotated and illustrated versions of his short stories "The Rats in the Walls," "The Colour Out of Space," and "The Dunwich Horror," plus the novella At the Mountains of Madness. There is also an introduction, excerpts from Lovecraft's letters, in which he addresses "weird fiction," and an appendix. This dandy little volume is so nicely done that one only wishes more of the author's stories were included. One hopes a second annotated volume will be coming soon. A real bargain for the price.
