About the Author

Benjamin Edidin Scolnic, a scholar, archaeologist and pulpit rabbi, is the author of eight other books including If the Egyptians Died in the Red Sea, Where are Pharaoh's Chariots? He has taught at four universities including Yale and the Jewish Theological Seminary. He has served as Biblical Consultant for the North Sinai Archaeological Expedition since 2000. He has been the rabbi of Temple Beth Sholom, Hamden, Connecticut since 1983.
