?Congressional Committees is intended as a guide for those doing a
variety of kinds of research on the United States Congress. It
serves a number of research purposes by, first, listing all
congressional committees in history. This is done in Part I, which
constitutes nearly 150 pages of the volume. All entries are
numbered and arranged alphabetically by key word subject. The
entries provide name of appropriate house, date established with
citation giving reason for founding, the Superintendent of
Documents classification number (where appropriate), date of
termination and citation to any report that may have been the
result of termination. Included are standing committees, select and
special committees, select and special joint committees, and
statutory joint committees .... Cross-references are provided for
name changes. Part II contains a bibliography of resources on the
subject; a useful table of Dates of Congressional Sessions, '
