The CERCL Writing Collective, under the leadership of Anthony Pinn, is comprised of nine of Pinn's PhD students, who also play a role in the programming and operations of the Center for Engaged Research and Collaborative Learning at Rice University in Houston, Texas. In this project, they write as one voice and are introduced at the conclusion of the book.
