Reviews

'This easy-to-read book by Robert Levine chronicles the history of Brazil from its recorded founding by the Portuguese in 1500 through to the beginning of the second presidential term of Fernando Cardoso. It reads like a novel, concisely covering most of the significant events and issues in the development of the largest Latin American country.'
