Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book. This is a very *unique* book in terms of contents and approach. Unlike most other books in the area of wireless communications, its approach is rather from electromagnetic theories (or physics), which is particularly interesting. Also, noise is explained in detail based on antenna temperature. Chapters 6 and 7 are also interesting. For example, the concept of LOS horizon should be useful in the research for long-range communications. Finally, as in this book, it is always good to have examples at the end of each chapter. ... this book might be possibly considered as supplemental material for teaching certain courses ... . Also, it is an excellent monograph for researchers in the area of wireless communications. -Prof. Il-Min Kim, Queens University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada
