About the Author
Martyn Bennett has been a professor at Nottingham Trent University for twenty-five years and held the posts of History Subject leader, Associate Dean and head of the Graduate school. He has written nine books on Britain Ireland and their mid-seventeenth century civil wars.
The dictionary section in this edition, comprising over 1,000
entries, has been significantly expanded from the first edition. .
