Dr. John FREELY (PhD, Physics, New York University) is an American physicist, teacher, and author. The author of over 40 books, including popular travel and history books on Istanbul, Athens, Venice, Turkey, Greece and the Ottoman Empire, he is currently a professor at Bosphorus University, where he teaches a course on the history of science.
