Arno Sonderegger has been Senior Lecturer of African History
and Societies at the Institute for African Studies of the
University of Vienna since 2010. From 2012 to 2013, he served as
Chair of African History at the Seminar for African Studies of the
Humboldt University of Berlin. His research and teaching focus
primarily on African history since 1500 and its global
interrelations, historical racism research, and the history of
science.
He is the author of two monographs (Jenseits der rassistischen
