Ricardo Henriquez was born in Tocopilla, a small fishing and mining village in northern Chile. He graduated from the Universidad Cat�lica del Norte with a degree in journalism, and worked for several years as a political journalist in La Moneda, the Chilean equivalent of the White House. After immigrating to the United States, he worked as a political and community organizer. The Catcher's Trap is his his first novel.
