Theodore Dalrymple currently gives expert psychiatric assessments in murder trials. Previously he worked as a doctor in Africa and the Gilbert Islands. Upon his return to England, he worked as a psychiatrist and GP in a prison hospital in the Midlands, and the East End of London. He is a regular contributor to, among others, The Times, Telegraph, Spectator and the British Medical Journal.
