About the Author

Melinda Wigington is not new to crochet. She has had several individual designs published in DRG publications in past years but this is her first book. How to Crochet Bead Tube Jewelry is a result of Melinda's love of all things beaded combined with her love of crocheting. Melinda lives in Big Sandy, Texas with her husband.

If you like me you have tried bead crochet and failed miserable, then don't despair, as this book may just be what the doctor ordered. A basic knowledge of crochet would be helpful to be able to understand the abbreviations that have been used; however, there is a handy DVD enclosed to help you every step of the way and it is paced at a great speed for you to follow along. There are only six projects in the book covering earring, necklaces, rings and bracelets, but nothing has been left to chance, as it is full of wonderful diagrams and photo's to ensure you finish your projects perfectly. I have to say I tested the DVD thoroughly and found it a really handy tool to follow. Take the time to practise first and you should end up with some beautiful jewellery to wear.-Beadworker's Guild Journal
