I am a counsellor and often work with people who are experiencing depression. This book is wonderful. I often lend it to my clients and they have all like it.

Great illustrations - very well done, simple, straight forward and clear. A great book for understanding your depression and helping others to understand how you feel in a light hearted but insightful way. Hightly recommended.

i thought that this book was a great read. it was very helpful to me, as the councellor from high school made me read it once, and afterwards i really felt like a new person. it is very clever, and uses the 'black dog' to abstactly illustrate the persons depression, which in retrospect it rather insightful.

Absolutely loved it ! The author definitely knows what he is talking about and this is the first book on depression that makes even depressed readers laugh! I have now bought it for most of my friends that suffered from depression in the past, are (becoming) depressed or counsel the depressed.
The drawings are so spot on. is hopeful and although the book is fun to read and the drawing sometimes hilarious this book is not ridiculizing depression or people who are suffering from depression.
