Peter Schössow was born in Hamburg in 1953. He is one of the great contemporary picture book artists. He studied at the College of Design in Hamburg, and since then has worked as an illustrator of books, newspapers and advertisements. He has written and illustrated a large number of children’s books for which he has received numerous awards, including the German Children’s Literature Award twice and the Troisdorf picture book prize.
