Blac Rebondzeh was born in Cameroon, and educated in Cameroon and Germany. He is well read in African, American, and English literatures, and the English language with great admiration for the Victorian age. He is specialized in language studies, in which he holds a PhD and works as a lecturer and field researcher. He writes poetry as a part-time activity, but he finds great inspirations and passions in it that it also seems to have an urge over him as a linguist. He hopes to carry on with the writing of poetry into great depths. Work on the poems in the present series started, in earnest, in 2003. Inspirations for them are drawn particularly from nature and personal experiences, but also from cultural and religious trends, general human tendencies, national and world politics, and the perils of modern science and technology. He is currently raising a young son. He plays football and table tennis as a hobby and enjoys travelling and sightseeing.
